Check out the trailer for Blink, a chilling short film directed by The Bold and the Beautiful's Heather Tom and starring Aaron D. Spears, Alley Mills, and other daytime stars.

The Bold and the Beautiful's Heather Tom (Katie Logan) is continuing to flex her muscles as a director, and this time, she has recruited several of her costars for a project guaranteed to make viewers' hairs stand on end.

The actress, who recently joined the CBS directors' program, took to social media to announce that she is directing a thriller titled Blink, which was written by her sister, Nicholle Tom. The short film features several actors familiar to daytime audiences, including B&B's Aaron D. Spears (Justin Barber) and Alley Mills (Pam Douglas), Andy Mackenzie (ex-Bartender Guthrie, General Hospital; ex-Kai Rawlings, Days of our Lives), Vanessa Viola (ex-Caitlyn, GH), and Andrew Miller (ex-Fritz, GH).

Tom took to Vimeo with the tense trailer for Blink, which shows a woman (Nicholle Tom) moving through an unnerving day that includes a visit to the passport office, listening to her lover complain about her mother, texting with a sexy shirtless man, nearly hitting another car while driving, and heading home to let the dog out as she pours herself a glass of wine. As she prepares to go to bed and calls out for her dog, she is brutally attacked by an intruder. The woman later wakes up in the hospital while hearing the voice of a detective (Spears) and ends up screaming at the sight of her bloody face in the mirror.

"We are all connected if we pay attention to the signs," says the Vimeo teaser for Blink. "Life can change in the blink of an eye, but the truth is in those of the beholder."

Tom has a lot of directing experience under her belt, having helmed several episodes of B&B in the past three years as well as directed the award-winning shorts Serenity and Bigfoot's Love Slave. According to Deadline, Tom recently shot the pilot for Blink, which she originally debuted via a concept film one year ago.
