General Hospital recasts, ages Morgan

Morgan Corinthos is headed back to Port Charles -- just in time for May Sweeps. The role has been recast and "aged" to help facilitate additional storylines.

After two years away at school, Morgan Corinthos is finally headed back to Port Charles.

Newcomer Bryan Craig has been cast in the contract role of Sonny and Carly's son -- and when he returns, viewers will see that Morgan is all grown up.

"Great first day at my new job, love it and everyone involved," Craig shared on Twitter. Soap Opera Digest later revealed that Craig's mystery gig was as GH's Morgan.

Morgan was born on-screen in October 2004, which, of course, would mean that he's not yet reached his ninth birthday. However, the show has opted to "age" the character into his teens.

Actor Aaron Sanders most recently played Morgan from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, Aaron Refvem held down the role.

This is Craig's first soap role, but viewers may have seen him on the Nickelodeon series, Bucket and Skinner's Epic Adventures.

Craig first reported to the work on April 15. He's expected to make his first on-screen appearance in early May.
