Three more All My Children favorites are headed back to the show this summer. Melissa Claire Egan (Annie Chandler), Kate Collins (Janet Green), and Jennifer Bassey (Marian Colby)
TVGuide has reported that the actresses will return in July when the three women "find a way to escape the facility and will make their way to PV to reunite with their loved ones."
Egan created the role of Annie in July 2006. She made what she called "the extremely difficult decision" to exit AMC earlier this year. During her time on All My Children, Egan earned two Daytime Emmy nominations. She is nominated this year in the Outstanding Supporting Actress field.
Bassey made her first appearance as Marian Colby in 1983. She was away from the show for a decade, but returned in 1995 and remained contracted to the show through 2003, but popped up on a recurring basis through 2008. Bassey was last seen in August 2009 when Marian, thinking that Kendall had killed Stuart, tried to shoot Kendall. Bassey received an Outstanding Supporting Actress Daytime Emmy nomination in 1999.
Collins originated the role of Natalie Marlowe in 1985. Six years later, Collins also tackled the role of Janet Green. Collins exited both roles in 1992. Since that time, Collins has reprised the role of Janet on several occasions, the most recent in May 2010.
All three actresses will pop up the week of July 24.
Earlier this month, ABC announced that Josh Duhamel would reprise the role of Leo for an episode or two in August. Eva LaRue will also be back as Maria in July.
