Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee Smythe) has been named the new co-host of a nationally syndicated talk show. The Emmy-nominated actress will appear alongside JD Roberto on the daily lifestyle show, the Better Show, a show with the mission of helping people live a better life.
"I am excited for the opportunity to co-host a daily talk show, especially working with JD," Budig said in a statement. "I'm always looking to improve my life and the lives of those around me, and the Better Show is the perfect example of a lifestyle show that does just that. It feels great to be a part of something that promotes better, positive living to viewers."
The Better Show focuses on easy recipes and low-cost meals, beauty breakthroughs, money matters, health and wellness, sex, decorating, and other topics that affect families and relationships.
Budig joined All My Children in 1999 after a three-year run as Michelle Bauer on CBS's Guiding Light. Budig remained with AMC off and on through the show's final episode on ABC in September 2011. Budig has twice earned Outstanding Supporting Actress nominations at the Daytime Emmys.
This will not be Budig's first hosting role. She previously worked as the host of the WE Network's Full Frontal Fashion and has filled in as a co-host on The View.
Outside of acting, Budig was named the champion of the reality on ice series Skating with the Stars.
The seventh season of the Better Show kicks off on September 9. Check your local listings for the time and channel in your area. On September 30, it will begin airing on the Hallmark Channel.
