Katrina Bowden has been front and center as The Bold and the Beautiful's Florence "Flo" Fulton since she debuted on the CBS soap opera at the beginning of the year -- but that's about to change.
The actress took to Instagram to share the news that she is currently taking some time off from the show, as she's shooting a movie in Australia for the next six and a half weeks.
Bowden posted a photo of herself along with the message, "At LAX right now getting a little buzzed off tequila as a [sic] wait for my delayed flight to somewhere very far away. I'm going to shoot a movie for the next 6.5 weeks and I'm so excited and anxious and can't wait to share more ahhh!!"
Bowden confirmed that her soap sabbatical means that viewers will see the disappearance of Flo "for a little bit." But the actress promises that she's only missing "a few shoot weeks" at the CBS drama and that she "will be back!"
As for what movie Bowden is filming in Australia, the actress isn't able to share much at this time -- though she does confirm that it's not a Hallmark film. Her IMDb page states that she'll be playing the role of Emma in Morning Shine (previously titled Butterfly Love), which is currently in pre-production. Keep checking back to Soap Central to find out if that film, being directed by Elizabeth Blake-Thomas, is the project that has temporarily taken Bowden away from B&B.
