Things have been calm in Sheila Carter Land on The Bold and the Beautiful for months. However, the character is back in the forefront this week and has lots of opposition on her hands again.
The week began with Sheila overhearing Hope Logan tell her dad, Deacon Sharpe, that he needs to dump Sheila ASAP. Hope still can't get over the fact that her father wants to marry a homicidal maniac who has been torturing the Forrester and Logan clans for decades.
In fact, Deacon was the one who found her last victims, Steffy and Finn, shot and bloodied outside Il Giardano nearly two years go. Sheila shot her own son and daughter-in-law, so Deacon, of all people, should know what she's capable of.
Months ago, Deacon insisted that Sheila was a changed woman, but did he really believe that? As his conversation with Hope continued this week, he didn't bother arguing that the heart wants what it wants, meaning Hope wants Thomas and he wants Sheila, which he argued with her before. This time, he couldn't compare the two relationships.
As Sheila listened in on the conversation and heard Hope call her a psychopath, you could see her trying to keep it together. When she made her presence known, Hope put Sheila on warning, which Sheila won't take lightly. By the time Hope left, Deacon lowered the boom the best he could -- telling Sheila he can't marry her if he wants to keep his relationship with Hope.
That might be all the Kimberlin Brown character needed to lose it again. She's stayed away from Steffy and Finn for months now. However, that's about to change when Sheila approaches Steffy and Liam's daughter, Kelly, when she sees the little girl on a playdate. Steffy gets wind of the move and confronts Sheila, leading to a brawl that Deacon and Finn are forced to break up.
As Deacon finds himself worried about Sheila's mental health later this week, it could be foreshadowing Sheila's next descent into madness. Since the 1990s, Sheila has been losing her mind whenever someone has her cornered or tries to keep her from the people she loves. If Sheila thinks that Hope is doing that with Deacon and that Steffy is doing it with Finn, both women could be in grave danger.
Steffy was the victim the last time Sheila lost her mind. Could Hope be her next victim? Will Thomas also get caught in the crossfire the way Finn was literally in the crossfire when Sheila pulled the trigger twice in 2022? Perhaps he tries to rescue Hope and things go terribly wrong.
All we know is that a sane Sheila Carter is a boring Sheila Carter, so another trip to crazy town is long overdue.
