John Black) has had another brush with demonic possession. This time, however, there was no supernatural storyline involved and the terror was definitely real. As the New Year readied to roll in, an Oregon man showed up at Hogestyn's home and caused an incredible stir.

For most people, being fired from a job brings with it a whole host of lifestyle changes. That will not be the case for one daytime star. Despite being fired from The Young and the Restless late last year,
Eileen Davidson (
Ashley Abbott) will still be reporting to CBS's Los Angeles studios and she will still find herself being called "Ashley" on a daily basis.

Bonnie Lockhart) will be exiting Days of our Lives. While their exits have loomed large for some time -- in some cases for several months -- their official exits are now here. Both will make their final on-screen appearances next month.

A new cast member will be joining Days of our Lives later this year and you, the DAYS viewer, will be able to weigh in and help determine who that new cast member will be. The selection process will be the culmination of the latest edition of the "I Wanna Be A Soap Star" series, set to debut this summer.

Sami Brady) will be pulling double duty on NBC for the foreseeable future. The Days of our Lives star has been named the new host of the network's weight loss reality show, "The Biggest Loser."

Bonnie Lockhart) exited Days of our Lives at the beginning of March, but the actress is already prepping for a return to the NBC soap. Evans learned that DAYS execs had future plans for her as she and the show's cast and crew gathered at her goodbye party.

Former Days of our Live star Lanna Saunders (ex-
Sister Marie Horton) has died. The actress, a veteran of both the stage and the screen, died at the age of 65 due to complications of Multiple Sclerosis.

Former Days of our Lives star Edward Mallory (ex-
Bill Horton) has died following a long illness. The actor's widow, Suzanne, indicated that Mallory had been ill for several years with a combination of ailments. She declined to specified the nature of those illness. Mallory was 76.

Billy Warlock is once again headed back to give soaps another shot. But this time around Warlock is doing something that he hasn't done in nearly 21 years: he is getting ready to head into uncharted waters.

Joseph Mascolo (
Stefano DiMera) has signed on to return to Days of our Lives next month. The news comes nearly six months after the actor nixed a return to the NBC soap because contract talks had reached an impasse.

Farah Fath will join the cast of One Life to Live later this year, but it will not be in the role that everyone thought. The former Days of our Lives star had been up for the role of Sarah Roberts. According to the actress, the show had other plans for her talent.

Days of our Lives becomes the latest soap opera to take a leap into the digital age. Episodes of the NBC soap can now be downloaded and watched on your home computer, a video iPod and countless other places. It's all part of a deal between DAYS, Sony and Apple's iTunes.

As Days of our Lives struggles to find its footing, the NBC soap announced today that it has made some behind-the-scenes changes. The show has appointed a new co-executive producer and tapped a new casting director and both newcomers -- Edward J. Scott and Marnie Saitta, respectively - most recently served on the top-rated CBS soap

Rumors hint that Drake Hogestyn has been fired from Days of our Lives. The actor, who has been with the show for 21 years, has been unhappy with his lack of storyline in recent months. A show rep denies that the actor has been let go.

Kirsten Storms (ex-
Belle Black) is the latest celebrity to be arrested on DUI charges in Los Angeles. While Storms may not have the same clout as some recently arrested celebs, the actress spent some time in jail and was ordered to pay a hefty fine. Storms joined General Hospital in 2005.

SOAPnet will re-broadcast three episodes from 1995 when Marlena's soul was taken over by the devil. What's, um, possessed them to do that? It's all part of a Halloween mini-marathon airing later this month on the all-soaps cable channel.

The votes are in and Days of our Lives now has its newest "Soap Star." Ashlee Holland was named the winner of the fourth edition of SOAPnet's "I Wanna Be A Soap Star" reality series. The actress make her first DAYS appearance shortly before the end of the year.

Nadia Bjorlin is back at Days of our Lives following a brief foray into motion pictures. The actress debuted as Chloe in 1999 and was last spotted in Salem in 2005. Her latest return is slated to be a long-term engagement.
November 2007
Hunky Marcus Patrick is out of another soap -- his second lost job in a little over a year. The actor's mysterious dismissal comes a few months after he posted naked for a magazine. He previously appeared on All My Children for three months.
