Sometimes it feels like Days of our Lives' Jen Lilley (Theresa Donovan) has one non-soap project for every grain of sand that falls through the NBC series' hourglass. At the moment, for example, she is poised to release a full-length music album, has just wrapped up a romantic comedy film, and is getting ready to film a new Christmas movie. We've got the details on all, so get ready for the who, what, and when of Lilley's life.
Lilley's album and debut single King of Hearts
As Soap Central previously reported, Lilley has been hard at work recording an original album and has already released a sneak peek preview of her first single King of Hearts. She hasn't announced an official release date for the album yet, but she has gone on record about what fans can expect once the 1960s-inspired collection of songs drops.
"The entire album is a story, and each song is a chapter, inspired by love and relationships, both good and bad," she tells Meaww. "I have always loved 60s music. I grew up listening to a lot of Motown with my dad, but it never occurred to me to do a classic 60s style album until I met legendary music producer, Adrian Gurvitz. When I first met Adrian, he and I would sit around his piano and improvise and see which licks we connected with. One day he just stopped and said, 'Wait. Everything about you is 1960s. Your look, your voice, your style. You sound like Dusty Springfield.' So, we honed in on that vision and really took our time collaborating on the music and message."
She continues: "It took us two years to finish the album, but we didn't want to compromise a single note. It's been an incredible journey, and I'm so excited to finally share it."
Lilley's rom-com flick Stuck Out of Love
While preparing for the release of her album, Lilley also filmed a starring role in an upcoming romantic comedy flick called Stuck Out of Love, which she calls a "hilarious comedy."
The film, which also stars All My Children alum Jonathan Bennett (ex-J.R. Chandler), follows Amber (Lilley), who's floundering in both romance and her job performance. When Amber starts reliving the same day over and over again (Groundhog Day, anyone?), she realizes she is stuck in limbo and must finally decide what it will take to make her truly happy.
Stuck Out of Love also stars Andrew Lawrence, Kassandra Clementi, and Tina Parker. To see some behind-the-scenes snaps from the film, check out Lilley's Twitter gallery below.

Lilley's Christmas movie Holidate
As if a new album and romantic comedy flick aren't enough, Lilley has also signed on to film a holiday movie for Hallmark called Holidate. The holly and jolly film is set to start production in Canada this September.
"I'm so excited" the actress tweeted. "Maybe I'll pack my ugly Christmas sweaters to wear on set."
