Fans of Days of our Lives' Christopher Sean (ex-Paul Narita) who also happen to be fans of the Star Wars franchise have cause to celebrate: the soap opera alum's animated series Star Wars Resistance has been picked up for another season.
Sean took to Instagram with the news, writing: "So excited to announce we are renewed for season two! This show is only getting better and better. Definitely tune in, everyone!"
The actor, who has Japanese heritage, also took the season renewal news as an opportunity to state how important it is for him to be representing Asian Americans on-screen.
"I'm so proud to be a part of this team," he writes. "Huge steps forward. Honored to be representing #AsianAmericans in a Galaxy Far Far Away... #Inclusion matters. We are all equal, not one more important than the other."
Disney's Star Wars Resistance stars Sean as Kaz, a young pilot who is recruited by the Resistance and ordered to spy on the growing threat of the First Order. The animated series also stars General Hospital actress Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller) as General Leia Organa, who is based on Princess Leia.
Fans who are interested in knowing more about the series can check out the mid-season trailer below, which Sean says gives "some great insight on where our show is going."
Sean made his DAYS debut in 2014 and quickly became a fan favorite in the role of Paul. He opted not to renew his contract with the NBC soap in 2017 and last aired during the holiday season.
Hennesy has been playing the recurring role of GH's Diane since 1981. Her additional credits include True Blood, Cougar Town, and Suits.
