At this year's Super Soap Weekend, Sarah Brown (Carly) revealed that she's not too sure if she's going to renew her contract with General Hospital when expires in March.

Though the actress enjoys her work on the show, she is exploring a future in film. Within the next few weeks, Brown will learn if she has been accepted to film school. Even if she is, there's no definitive word that this would mean she'd be departing the show.

Earlier this year, there were reports that Maurice Benard (Sonny) might leave the show because his good friend, former head writer Bob Guza Jr., was no longer with the show. Those early rumblings appear to have been unfounded because the actor has signed a new one-year deal.

Also on the rumor front, there have been numerous reports that Billy Warlock (AJ) has been fired. Not so, says a spokesperson for ABC. The denial by ABC is unusual in that the network is usually quite reluctant to discuss contract talks and casting decisions.
