In true bold and beautiful fashion, destiny -- and a touch of reality television -- helped guide soap star Antonio Sabato, Jr. (ex-Jagger Cates) to his new wife, Cheryl Moana Marie, and they wed this week in an intimate beachside ceremony.
Destiny called, and Sabato traveled to Hawaii in search of true love for his 2009 reality show, My Antonio. The only problem was that destiny was telling Sabato that his wife was Hawaiian, but not actually "in" Hawaii. He left the islands empty-handed because fate had deemed that he'd meet his Hawaiian destiny in Los Angeles after the TV show had wrapped up.
"It's kind of ironic that I went to Hawaii to look for someone, and then I found someone who's from Hawaii," Sabato told People Magazine after the couple met in 2009. In May of 2011, the pair welcomed their son, Antonio III, into the world.
Sabato and Marie wed during a Hawaiian sunset the evening of October 2, 2012, in a private ceremony with 18 guests. According to People, it's the first marriage for Marie, and Sabato's second.
Sabato accepted the role of John "Jagger" Cates on General Hospital in the early 1990s. He vacated the role in 1994 but reprised it for a short time in 2008. Between those periods, he portrayed Dante Damiano on the Bold and the Beautiful from 2005 to 2006.
