Beloved General Hospital star Rachel Ames hasn't been seen as her classic Port Charles alter ego, Audrey March Hardy, in several years, making an upcoming appearance by the actress an extra special moment for longtime viewers of the show.
Soap Opera Digest reports that the Oregon native will be dropping onto the GH canvas on Friday, October 30, for a heartfelt pre-wedding scene with Audrey's granddaughter Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). The scene in and of itself is sure to be touching for longtime fans of the ABC soap, but what makes it extra special is that Ames not only hasn't been seen on-screen since 2013.
As fans may recall, the actress made her debut as a nurse at General Hospital back in 1964. She remained with the show until 2009 then returned for a short appearance in 2013 that saw the character attending a ceremony at the hospital in which a portrait of her late husband, Steve (John Beradino), was revealed.
