Former General Hospital star Kimberly McCullough (ex-Robin Scorpio) has been working as a director for quite some time, and while she certainly has a lot of major programs under her belt, like Fuller House and One Day at a Time, some would say she has finally hit the big leagues. The actress has been hired to direct an episode of the ABC series The Conners.
McCullough posted a behind-the-scenes photo of the iconic kitchen that audiences know from the original series, which ran from 1988 to 1997; its modern reboot, which ran for one season in 2018, and its current spin-off, The Conners, which just began its first season.
"I'm reminded of what can happen when I put words into action. I say 'action' several times a day," McCullough captioned the photo.

The Conners is a spin-off continuation of Roseanne that stars John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Lecy Goranson, Michael Fishman, Emma Kenney, Ames McNamara, Jayden Rey, and Maya Lynne Robinson. Development on a spin-off began following the cancellation of Roseanne in May 2018, due to remarks made by Roseanne Barr on Twitter that were widely viewed as racist. The series premiered on October 16, 2018, and on October 26, 2018, ABC ordered an extra episode, bringing the episode order to 11.
McCullough got her start in the entertainment industry as a child actress, landing the role of GH's Robin in 1985 -- when she was just seven years old. She has played the daytime character on-again, off-again since that time, last appearing on the ABC soap this September. McCullough's exciting directing news comes hot on the heels of the announcement that she recently directed an episode of The Bold Type.
