General Hospital is about to give fans a delightful treat: the return of actress Denise Alexander in the role of Dr. Lesley Webber.
Soap Opera Digest reports that the actress has returned to the role of Laura's (Genie Francis) mother, though additional details about when and for how long Lesley will be back on the canvas are not available at this time.
Fans likely aren't super surprised that Lesley is heading back to Port Charles, as she's been mentioned quite a few times in recent story, with Laura reeling from the discovery that her late biological dad also fathered her two new half-brothers, Cyrus (Jeff Kober) and Martin (Michael E. Knight).
Alexander originated the role of Lesley in 1973 and played the character until 1984. She returned again from 1996 to 2009, and made return appearances in 2013, 2017, and most recently in 2019 for the soap's anniversary and a special tribute episode honoring the late Susan Brown (ex-Dr. Gail Adams Baldwin).
Alexander's other daytime credits include the roles of Sister Beatrice on Sunset Beach, Mary McKinnon on Another World, and Susan Hunter on Days of our Lives.
