Fans are sending well-wishes to Steve Burton (Jason Morgan, General Hospital), who revealed in a video post on Twitter that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
The actor, who is thankfully asymptomatic, shared that his diagnosis means that he had to postpone his August Stone Cold and the Jackal shows, including this weekend's events.
"Long story short, I was exposed at work," he revealed of his diagnosis, without adding any explanation. "I tested Wednesday [and] I tested negative, and then I wanted to take another test before I got on an airplane to be safe to come out and see you guys and then I tested positive."
He continued to share with fans that he feels fine, "other than being really bummed that we can't see you guys, so, thank you for your patience."

Burton did not state if he had received a COVID vaccination.
Fans who had already purchased tickets for the canceled Stone Cold and the Jackal shows -- which also feature GH star Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli) -- will have their tickets honored for the newly released dates expected to be announced next week or soon thereafter.
"We are working actively to secure another date (week) for the tour but we ask that you kindly bear with us as we navigate a very difficult situation," reads a statement on Burton's Instagram account. "Once new dates are announced, you'll be notified by email. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience.. we love you!"
It's unclear at the moment how Burton's COVID diagnosis will affect his screen time at GH (if at all). There has been no further information about whether or not any other GH stars were exposed to the virus. Keep checking back to Soap Central for updates as they come.
