Kelly Thiebaud is trading ABC dramas. The actress is returning to her role as Eva Vasquez on the primetime series Station 19, but this time, the news of her attachment to the Grey's Anatomy spinoff comes with a sad twist: she's leaving her role as General Hospital's Britt Westbourne.
Deadline was the first to report the news, stating that the actress will conclude her run as the beloved Port Charles character this November.
As for her Station 19 role, Thiebaud first appeared in season three of the drama in a storyline that saw her character -- the widow of fallen Station 19 firefighter Rigo Vasquez (Rigo Sanchez) -- have a steamy affair with her husband's colleague, Jack Gibson (Grey Damon), that resulted in total chaos.
Season six of Station 19 is set to premiere on October 6, and from the sound of the official teaser that ABC released, Eva's return will be just as destructive as her arrival. "Misery loves company," the teaser states, "And Eva finds solace with someone from her past."
Thiebaud has yet to confirm her exit from GH, but she did take to Instagram to share her enthusiasm about returning to primetime.
"Excited to be back on @station19 stirring up trouble!" she wrote.
Thiebaud has starred on GH on-again, off-again since 2012. She took home the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress earlier this year for her work on the ABC drama.
Some of the Texas native's other credits include Chuck, Castle, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and TMI Hollywood. She also briefly played the role of Days of our Lives' Zoey in 2020.
A show source confirms to Soap Central that Thiebaud will exit GH by year's end. Per show policy, General Hospital does not comment on contracts.
