It looks like it's the end of the line for General Hospital's Rory Cabrera. Actor Michael Blake Kruse ended his run on the ABC soap on Friday, December 16, when his Port Charles alter ego became the latest victim of the hook-wielding killer known, um, affectionately as the Hook.
"Many thanks to everyone who has sent me supportive messages in light of Rory Cabrera leaving the GH canvas. I enjoyed playing the character and valued his essence," Kruse wrote on Twitter. "Above all, I had the pleasure of working with some incredible people and have a newfound respect for everyone involved with daytime TV."

Earlier this week, fans started to speculate that Kruse might be the killer's latest victim when they spotted an interestingly captioned Instagram photo that Kruse shared of his GH character. "Stay sharp, Rory," Kruse wrote in the since-deleted post that you can check out below.
Kruse's post was made the same day that his character had been seen tracking down a lead on the serial killer. Kruse's GH co-star William Lipton (Cameron Webber) issued a somewhat telling reply to the post. "Was a pleasure my man," Lipton commented.
In March, Kruse debuted as Rory, a rookie police officer and frequent nemesis of Spencer Cassadine (played by Nicholas Chavez) as the two both had designs on romancing Trina Robinson (played by Tabyana Ali). Kruse, who initially joined the GH cast in a contract role, was reportedly placed on recurring status in October and largely disappeared from the show for weeks at a time.
"He was like the epitome of who I try to represent myself as, and I have so many friends and family in law enforcement and military, as well, so all these types of roles are kind of like a dream to me because these are the people that I actually am connected with, and I look up to them," Kruse said of his role at the time of his hiring.
In addition to his role on GH, Kruse's acting credits include a stint on ABC's primetime mainstay Grey's Anatomy and NBC's Chicago Hope and Chicago P.D.. He had filmed a part for the 2022 blockbuster film Blank Panther: Wakanda Forever, but the actor's scenes were all cut from the finished product.
This marks the second murder of a Port Charles police office since 2018, when Nathan West was shot and killed by Cesar Faison.
