It's a wrap on Marcus Coloma's time as Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital. The actor last aired on January 30.
As previously reported by Soap Central, Coloma and the ABC soap agreed to part ways last year. Coloma was informed that his contract with GH was not being renewed, but the actor exited the show before he taped his final scenes. A rep for Coloma later claimed that the actor was unable to film his final scenes due to ongoing health issues stemming from a previous COVID infection.
Beginning January 31, the role of Nikolas will now be played by a familiar face: actor Adam Huss. Huss has subbed for Coloma on several occasions since 2021.
It's unclear exactly how long Huss will be sticking around. GH has been tightlipped about its future plans for Nikolas, which has led to wild speculation among fans on social media. That speculation has included everything from Nikolas being killed off to the role being recast.
