The General Hospital star's family is in Los Angeles, calling for police to find Johnny Wactor's killer.

It's been nearly three weeks since former General Hospital star Johnny Wactor was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles after leaving his job as a bartender in the wee hours of the morning on May 25.

Wactor was with a co-worker when he spotted several men by his car and assumed it was being towed. When he approached them, one of them opened fire, leading to the actor's tragic death. The men were trying to steal the car's catalytic converter.

On June 12, Wactor's family organized a march through the streets of L.A., seeking "Justice for Johnny" and calling for authorities to put more resources into finding the shooter.

According to ABC 7 in L.A., the march's organizers asked Mayor Karen Bass "to lend full support and resources to the Los Angeles Police Department in this homicide investigation, beginning with issuing a minimum $25,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the individuals responsible for Wactor's death."

Wactor's brother, Grant, was on hand at the march and spoke before it began.

"Back home, we're all hurting obviously,'' he said. "We're doing everything we can to try to stay busy to try to keep this in the forefront, so thank you all for being here and helping us keep this out there so we can continue to press this issue. The main thing is just [that] it was a senseless act of violence. It was something that none of us expected. He was 37 years old. He would be 38 in August, and it hurts."

Wactor played Brando Corbin on GH from 2020 to 2022 and was beloved by fans and co-stars, including Parry Shen (Brad Cooper), who attended the march and tweeted a video. After Wactor's death, Shen explained that he and Wactor became good friends during a personal appearance weekend.

"I was truly looking forward to so many more years hanging out with him," Shen wrote on Instagram after Wactor's death. "We all were cheated of many years with him. To his mom and brothers, Johnny talked so lovingly of you all during our walk. My heart goes out to you."
