Timothy D. Stickney (R.J. Gannon) returns to Llanview this week after a long -- and noticeable -- break.
As One Life to Live viewers know, the ABC soap has recently refocused its storytelling on the Gannon family. Earlier this month, Nathan Purdee (Hank Gannon) rejoined the show after a six-year break and former Passions star Daphnee Duplaix assumed the role of Rachel Gannon. It seemed only a matter of time before R.J. found his way home, too.
Stickney made his first appearance as the sometimes morally challenged Randall James Gannon in August 1994. The actor remained on contract with One Life to Live for twelve years before being bumped to recurring in April 2006. Since that time, Stickney has made occasional appearances, with the most recent appearance coming nearly a year ago -- May 29, 2008.
During his time away from One Life to Live, Stickney remained active. He recently directed a version of Shakespeare's tragedy, King Lear, at the National Black Theatre in New York City.
Stickney returns on April 23.
