Fans of Brittany Underwood have seen the actress shine in front of the screen as One Life to Live's Langston Wilde and on other series like Hollywood Heights, Major Crimes, and The Goldbergs. But the New Jersey native is about to show off her skills behind the camera, as well.
In an exciting Instagram post, Underwood shares that she is currently taking on the role of director for a "Puerto Rican Christmas movie" for Lifetime. It's a move that makes her longtime dream of sitting in a director's chair a reality.
"Ahhh it's official! My directorial debut has officially commenced!" she shared. "I'm just over here on cloud 9 at this opportunity!! Thank you soooo much to @ninthhousefilms @jakehelgren @autumnfederici and @marvistaent for giving me my first shot!! You guys are amazing and I am beyond over the moon about it. Grateful grateful grateful! Huge shoutout to all my friends who have fully supported/encouraged me to follow down this path towards becoming a director. You guys have no idea how much that has meant to me."
Further details about Underwood's holiday film have yet to be announced, but she enthuses that she "can't wipe the smile off" her face about her good fortune and finally realizing her dream of becoming a director.
Brittany Underwood played the role of OLTL's Langston from 2006 to 2012 and later went on to star in projects like Youthful Daze, The Bay, and 2nd Chance for Christmas. She also stars in the intense 2021 thriller Off the Grid.
