The Denver Broncos stunned the Carolina Panthers during Super Bowl 50 this weekend, sweeping the game and winning by 14 points. But what's probably more exciting for soap opera fans is the way The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless stars got in on the sports action.
Several daytime favorites ushered in the highly anticipated football event by dressing in their finest and posing with a gold Super Bowl football. Participating stars included The Bold and the Beautiful's Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester), Jacob Young (Rick Forrester), Karla Mosley (Maya Avant), Heather Tom (Katie Logan), and Don Diamont (Bill Spencer), and The Young and the Restless' Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), Justin Hartley (Adam Newman), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman), Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott), Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman), and Gina Tognoni (Phyllis Summers).

In related news, for the third year in a row, soapcentral.com held its "Soaper Bowl" during the big game. This year, those playing along on our Twitter feed @soapcentral selected General Hospital's Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) as daytime's Most Valuable Player.
