Jennifer Gareis (Donna Logan, The Bold and the Beautiful) will make a surprise return on August 19 to the soap that she first called home: The Young and the Restless. The actress' unannounced appearance on Y&R was previewed at the end of the August 18 episode.

It's been a decade since Gareis last appeared as Grace Turner, a role she first took on in February 1997.

"Y&R was like my home away from home. Being able to go back to that was awesome," Gareis told Soap Opera Digest. "It was the best."

Gareis was sworn to secrecy about her Y&R return -- but it was almost let out of the bag when some of her B&B co-stars saw her at the studio. The actress also confessed to Soap Opera Digest that she had to keep her homecoming a secret from her real-life best friend, Sharon Case (Sharon Newman).

Gareis is currently part of the cast of Y&R's sister soap, The Bold and the Beautiful, where she's appeared as Donna Logan since July 2006.
