Fans of The Young and the Restless were devastated to see Jill (Jess Walton) and Colin (Tristan Rogers) skip town this week, bringing their long and complicated love affair to a close. But has the door really been nailed shut on their future in Genoa City?
Rogers took to social media shortly after the pair's final scenes aired with a message that brought many fans to tears.
"Glad you all liked the end of that storyline. There are no plans for this couple to reappear so they'll be away for awhile," he wrote.

Responses ranged from mild disappointment to severe anger, with some even taking the show's new executive producer, Mal Young, to task for the decision to bring Jill and Colin's storyline to an end.
However, Walton's message on social media was vastly different. Rather than the doom and gloom Rogers' tweet seems to convey, her message gives fans hope that there is more to come from the popular pair.
"Be watching for Jill and Colin in June, bucket list finished?!?" she teased along with a photo collage of the fictional couple.

When many fans seemed confused about whether the pair would actually see more light of day or if Rogers' tweet was indeed more accurate, the actress took to social media again with an even brighter message about her future with Y&R.
"Thx for your tweets. Jill isn't going anywhere! Just taking some time off & awaiting the birth of my 3rd grandchild. Love #YR & all of you!"

Unfortunately, Rogers' status with the show isn't as clear. But the silver lining of the possibility that he is indeed done at Y&R is that he could always return to General Hospital as Robert Scorpio -- which is what a lot of his fans are hoping is the case if his GC time is over.
