Nikki and Abby have all seen quite a bit of Arturo Rosales -- and soon fans will be seeing a lot of him, too. Jason Canela took to social media to announce that he's now on contract with The Young and the Restless.
"I've always believed that there are two types of artists. There are working ones and blessed ones. Thankfully I've had an incredible support system to always motivate me and help me push forward no matter how tough things got while I was working to become a better version of me so that one day I could be blessed," Canela shared on Instagram. "To every artist out there who feels discouraged because they have not booked that role or gotten that verse picked up in a track just remember that our line of work is not the easiest but if you truly love it then you know that if you continue to PUT IN THE WORK one day you will be blessed."
Canela thanked Y&R executive producer and head writer Mal Young, CBS, and Sony "for believing in me and making me feel at home in Genoa city and blessing me with the opportunity to bring life to Arturo Rosales. I'm proud and honored to officially be a full time member of the @youngandtherestless."
Though the show is not commenting, it is possible that a recent casting announcement will figure into Arturo's future story. Emmy-winning Guiding Light/All My Children/Days of our Lives alum Jordi Vilasuso is joining the cast in the role of the mononymic "Rey." Could the new character be related to Arturo? You can read more about Vilasuso's addition to Y&R here.
Canela made his first appearance as contractor Arturo on February 2, 2018. Prior to joining Y&R, he starred alongside All My Children alum Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo Santos) in the baseball series Pitch and in Telemundo's Donde Esta Elisa, Cosita Linda (Venevision), and Ruta 35 (Unimas).
