Hunter King's boyfriend, Nico Svoboda, popped the question over the weekend, and the actress, who plays The Young and the Restless' Summer Newman, said yes!
The actress' costar Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) was one of the first to write about the exciting news on social media, writing: "SHE SAID YES!!! Hunter King, I'm so excited for you and Nico! Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day! Congratulations on your engagement! Love you both!!"
Ordway's post includes several snapshots from the couple's engagement party, one of which shows the bride-to-be flashing her sparkly engagement ring.
King also publicly posted about her special news, sharing a photo of the moment when Nico popped the question along with the caption: "I love you I love you I love you I love you FIANCÉ!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I GET TO MARRY MY BEST FRIEND!!! Thank you for making yesterday the best day of my entire life! I can't wait to marry you and spend our future going on endless adventures together. I am one lucky lady."
King, who also stars on Life in Pieces, met Svoboda in 2016. He used to work as a boom operator at Y&R, so, as the actress shared with Soap Central earlier this month, he's used to the crazy world of soap operas and can handle all of the crazy shenanigans Summer has gotten herself into in recent weeks. But that doesn't mean she can handle all the troublesome moments her alter ego creates.
"[Nico] was actually on set the day that I had to kiss Jason [Thompson, Billy Abbott]... and I remember telling him, 'Please don't watch this scene!'" King shares with a laugh. "He was like, 'It's fine!' And I was like, 'No, you're not allowed to watch this scene!' So, I made some of our friends on set make sure that he wasn't watching the monitor. But he's very understanding, and I'm very lucky. He knows and is super understanding, but even so, I was like, 'No, this is where I draw the line! You're not allowed to watch this!'"
There's no word yet about when King and Svoboda's wedding will take place, but considering the engagement just happened, the planning is likely in its very early stages. Keep reading Soap Central for updates as they happen.
