The law of the Genoa City land is calling again, and it's bringing Lauren Woodland back as The Young and the Restless attorney Brittany Hodges.
The CBS soap opera teased the news of the actress' return via Twitter, writing: "Look who's bringing a little Law and Order to Genoa City."

The last time Woodland -- who is actually an attorney in real life -- took on her GC alter ego, she was central to Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victor's (Eric Braeden) custody battle over little Christian.
"The way I heard it, they were writing some scenes where there was going to be a lawyer needed, and because I had just been on the show, and everybody knew I'm an attorney, they were like, 'Hey, why don't we have Lauren do it?'' she shared with Soap Central at the time. "So that was very flattering and sweet. It made me very happy that they thought of me and wanted me to come back."
Woodland is set to reappear on Wednesday, September 12, in a storyline that has Brittany helping out an old friend.
