The Young and the Restless' Christel Khalil makes her comeback at Lily Winters this week. Her first airdate is Wednesday, March 11.
It's been more than three months since The Young and the Restless' Lily took off to California to be with her daughter after a fictional wildfire, ushering Christel Khalil off the show for her maternity leave.
Now, the actress is back on-screen after returning to the studio in February. She's kept mum about her new baby and only revealed her pregnancy with a few baby bump snaps last June.
In November, she posted another black-and-white snap of herself in a bikini, showing off her pregnant belly, with the caption: "Getting closer to meeting our baby boy."
Lily will be in for quite a shock when she returns to Genoa City and immediately tries to surprise Daniel in his apartment. He is surprised, all right, but so is Lily when she walks in on Daniel sharing a meal with Heather and Lucy like they are one, big happy family.
While Lily was away, Daniel and Heather reunited, but Daniel has been a little neglectful about informing Lily. As far as she's known the whole time she's been away, Daniel has been faithful, but that is the furthest thing from the truth.
Daniel will have some serious explaining to do once he and Lily are alone. He strung her along for months when he even admitted to Heather that his relationship with Lily wasn't as serious as Lily believed. Daniel promised Heather he would tell Lily the truth soon, and now is his chance.
Will he finally come clean, and if so, what will Lily do now? Will she fight for her first love, or will she give him hell and just move on? Stay tuned to find out.
Khalil took on the role of Y&R's Lily in 2002. The actress exited briefly in 2006 and later chose to take a step back from the show in the summer of 2018 and subsequently dropped to recurring status. She made sporadic appearances after that point but decided in 2020 to come back in a more involved capacity.
