Fans of CBS' The Bold and the Beautiful will soon be seeing a very familiar character reemerge on the canvas. The soap has cast actor Rome Flynn in the role of Zende, the AIDS orphan from African who Kristen Forrester (Tracy Melchior) and her husband, Antonio Dominguez (Paulo Benedeti), adopted back in the early 2000s.
TV Insider reports that the young actor, best known for his role as the gay drummer Leon in VH1's Drumline: A New Beat, will be taking on the role this summer. According to a B&B rep, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Pam (Alley Mills) summon Zende to intern at Forrester Creations. But there's a wrench in the plan: neither Ridge nor Pam wants anyone to know Zende is a Forrester.
As if that's not a tricky enough entrance for the former character, Nicole will also be vying for the Forrester intern spot -- and when she and Zende meet, sparks are going to fly.
Look for Flynn to make his B&B debut on Monday, June 29. And to get Melchior's thoughts on whether or not she'd be open to returning to the CBS soap, check out Soap Central's recent interview with the actress here.
