Long-time Days of our Lives star Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane) has been let go. The actress is the latest big-name star to receive notice that her contract would not renewed as the NBC soap tries to ensure its future on the airwaves.
Bjorlin originally joined the cast of Days of our Lives in 1999 and remained a popular, contract player through June 2003. The actress then returned for a handful of episodes over the next year and a half before returning on a regular, recurring basis in December 2004. She then exited the show in September 2005. In 2007, Bjorlin returned to DAYS with a long-term contract and a promise that her character would have a new edge.
In addition to her work on DAYS, Bjorlin has also lit up the silver screen. She appeared in the film Redline. Bjorlin also appeared in the web soap, Venice, and was also rumored at one point to be considered as Wonder Woman in a update of the cult classic TV series. After exiting DAYS, Bjorlin will begin work on another film project, though details have not yet been released.
Soap Opera Digest has reported that Bjorlin's new on-screen romantic interest, Bren Foster (Quinn), will also be exiting the show
Final airdates for Bjorlin and Foster have not yet been announced, though they are expected to last appear in August. It's unclear at this time if they will be exiting the canvas together.
Bjorlin is one of several Days of our Lives stars that has been let go in the past few days. Last week, the NBC soap released Crystal Chappell (Carly Manning) and Louise Sorel (Vivian Alamain). Tamara Braun (Taylor Walker) has also been let go.
