Is former Days of our Lives star Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane) really returning to the show as reported by various media outlets? If she is, it's news to her.
Despite numerous reports that Bjorlin's return to DAYS is "imminent," the actress has revealed that as of this week she has not been in talks to return to the NBC soap.
"No one has called me," Bjorlin told Nelson Branco in Soap Opera Uncensored. "I am not returning to DAYS. Not sure where these rumors start."
This is not the first time since Bjorlin's September 2011 exit that her return to Days of our Lives has been said to be a done deal. Several months ago, a published report stated that Bjorlin had signed a contract with DAYS. In fact, Bjorlin later revealed that she'd rejected the offer due to contractual and money issues.
It seems unlikely that the show would consider recasting the role of Chloe.
Bjorlin originally joined the cast of Days of our Lives as Chloe in 1999 and remained a contract player through June 2003. The actress then returned for a handful of episodes over the next year and a half before returning on a regular, recurring basis in December 2004. She then exited the show in September 2005. In 2007, Bjorlin returned to DAYS with a long-term contract and a promise that her character would have a new edge. She last appeared on September 28, 2011.
Bjorlin is already at work on another film project, though details have not yet been released.
