LIZ M
Liz (lizincinti) is a moderator for all three ABC soaps on the Soap Central message board forums and does weekly recaps. She loves all soaps but her heart belongs to ABC. Her earliest memories are of watching General Hospital with her mother back in the days of Luke and Laura. Last year was Liz's first time as an Emmy prognosticator -- and she's back this year to see if she can up her total of correct picks.
Previous Predictions
2007: 2 for 8
OUTSTANDING DRAMA SERIES
OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTOR
Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer, GH): This is the only acting nomination that General Hospital picked up. It's a tough category because 4 of the nominees have won previous Emmys. I chose Anthony because, in a way, he represents to me all those wonderful actors on General Hospital who were snubbed this year.
OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTRESS
Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summer, Y&R): This is where Y&R will begin dominating the Emmys this year. I am most familiar with Michelle's work and have found her performances captivating.
OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR
Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher, Y&R): He was not only nominated by the daytime emmys but the Y&R viewers voted him the winner in this year's Dankies in the same category. I'm going with the fans of this site.
OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS
Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore Baldwin, Y&R): Again, I'm going with the viewers of this site and picking their favorite in this category.
OUTSTANDING YOUNGER ACTOR
Van Hansis (Luke Snyder, ATWT): I like all the nominees in this category but Van Hansis is my favorite.
OUTSTANDING YOUNGER ACTRESS
Van Hansis (Luke Snyder, ATWT): I like all the nominees in this category but Van Hansis is my favorite.
OUTSTANDING WRITING IN A DRAMA SERIES
The Young and the Restless: This was a difficult category to pick because we had the writer's strike which created quite a few problems for the writers when they returned to work. Y&R had the most nods this year so I think it will win this category.
