Grey's Anatomy star Chandra Wilson is once again trading Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital for General Hospital.
Wilson, who has guest-starred on General Hospital in several different roles over the years, will be back in Port Charles for this year's Nurses Ball. Wilson, who has said she's watched GH for more than three decades, will play the role of red-carpet correspondent Sydney Val Jean.
Wilson's first stint on GH came as "Tina" in 2014. In 2018, Wilson played Dr. Linda Massey, a therapist who counseled Curtis (Donnell Turner), Jordan (Vinessa Antoine), and Stella (Vernee Watson). Four years ago, Wilson also played Sydney, whose was then the East Coast fashion editor of Crimson magazine.
Somewhat interestingly, in a photo shared by TVLine, Wilson is seen standing on the red carpet with Roger Howarth (Austin Gatlin-Holt). Howarth shared scenes with Wilson during her first gust spot back in 2014. Wilson wasn't the only one playing a different role back then -- Howarth was playing Franco Baldwin.
Wilson has played Miranda Bailey on ABC's primetime Grey's Anatomy since its premiere in 2005. In 2019, Grey's became the longest-running scripted medical program in television history. General Hospital is, of course, television's longest-running scripted dramatic series.
This year's Nurses Ball, which will help usher in General Hospital's 60th anniversary, is set to kick off on March 29.
